Symposia & Conferences

The Infection and Pulmonary Vascular Disease (iPVD) Consortium organizes an annual one-day meeting to discuss recent advances in the role of infection in pulmonary vascular diseases. The iPVD meeting is usually, but not always, held as a conference session during the annual PVRI meeting. This means that the iPVD meeting may be held independently in some years, depending on the availability of funding and other resources.

The iPVD meeting brings together researchers and clinicians from around the world to share their latest findings on the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious pulmonary vascular diseases. The meeting covers a wide range of topics, including:

  • The epidemiology and risk factors for infectious pulmonary vascular diseases
  • The molecular mechanisms by which infections trigger and worsen pulmonary vascular disease.
  • New diagnostic tools and biomarkers for infectious pulmonary vascular diseases
  • Emerging therapeutic strategies for infectious pulmonary vascular diseases

The iPVD meeting is an important event for the field of pulmonary vascular disease, as it provides a platform for researchers and clinicians to collaborate and advance our understanding of this complex and challenging condition.
